Our story, since 1986
ZENA EXOTIC FRUITS ZENA EXOTIC FRUITS is a family owned company founded in 1986 by Mr Toufic FILFILI. It was born of a simple desire: to make the most of local fruit from Senegal, which is often little used and therefore wasted. The very first product? A modest homemade mango jam, born of know-how inspired by its Mediterranean roots and whose recipe has survived to this day.
De nos jours, ZENA a connu un essor remarquable : diversification des recettes (papaye, goyave, hibiscus…), modernisation de la production et ouverture à l’international, devenant la première entreprise sénégalaise membre de l’US Chamber of Commerce. Reconnue pour son exigence de qualité, elle a obtenu plusieurs certifications (ISO 9001, HACCP, Halal, Kosher, FDA) ainsi que des Oscars de Qualité. Son engagement va bien au-delà du goût : elle soutient l’emploi local des femmes, l’agriculture durable, et place l’humain au cœur de sa démarche.
ZENA, in short, is the story of a visionary of yesteryear, of today's enthusiasts, and of a great deal of hope for the future.

At ZENA, our mission goes far beyond processing fruit. We want to give meaning to every gesture, every recipe and every jar we create. Our ambition is to sublimate the treasures of Senegalese nature into authentic, healthy and meaningful products - to nourish, but also to inspire.

That's why we're committed to promoting sustainable agriculture, encouraging local employment - particularly for women, young people and people in vulnerable situations - and building a business where quality goes hand in hand with impact.
